Notation is the system of symbols used to represent the classes in a classification system. Notation gives both the unique meaning of the class and its relation to the other classes. Following symbols and digits are used in DDC: Arabic Numerals 0-9 Dot (.) Decimal Point Roman Alphabets A to Z
